Panas Panas is an independent artist collective founded in 2019 by Arief Hamizan, Ariff Kamil (Kuala Lumpur), Ali Motamedi (Berlin), Hana Nadira (Glasgow) and now also joined by THEYVAPAALAN S JAYARATNAM (Kuala Lumpur). Brought together by a shared fascination of the profound, political, and absurd, the group aims to cultivate creative works inspired by the peculiarities and complexities of contemporary Southeast Asia.
